Once Andrew Pierce and Ashley Hudson first met in a church in Hamburg they knew they could not go back. Ashley Hudson was just 17 years old and hadn't been with a woman prior to that, so they decided to take it slow. It was, however, romance at first sight. It was New Year's Eve right ahead of the year's beginning, Andrew asked God to grant him one more thing in the was to come... that Ashley could say yes and wed Andrew. Ashley was keen to have an all-wooden wedding because it symbolized Andrew as well as her. The wedding consisted of the many things they love. Ashley's parents owned 40 acres in the backyard. Ashley played and explored throughout the entire land, even the paths they had taken in order to reach it. Andrew and Ashley were walking through the same area when they were dating. Personalization was key since the couple did almost all of the work themselves. Andrew and Ashley's dad created the ceremony arch and the seating, while Ashley performed a lot of decorating and painting. Ashley says, "Our wedding would not be the magical experience I had always envisioned if Anna's beautiful flowers hadn't been put in place." It truly is breathtaking.
